Brésil Bela Vista Anaérobique is a distinctive single-origin from Brazil's Sul de Minas region, anaerobic-fermented to develop uniquely fruity, wine-like flavour notes. Our TAG roast brings out its intricate aromas and heightened sweetness. Freshly roasted on demand in our Montréal facility.

Tasting Notes

Vibrant and complex, the cup is brimming with fruity, wine-like character, layered with distinct notes of dried fruits and nuts and a heightened natural sweetness. The anaerobic fermentation gives Bela Vista an intricate, aromatic profile that sets it apart.

Origin

Located in the Sul de Minas region of Brazil, estates like Bela Vista thrive in a mild climate that lets them experiment with a wide spectrum of processing techniques – natural, washed, pulped natural and the more unusual anaerobic fermentation. Renowned for their commitment to excellence, Bela Vista is a standout high-quality producer, blending a deep passion for coffee with strong tradition and a coffee culture built on sustainable principles.

The Anaerobic Fermented Process

In the anaerobic fermented process, the coffee is dried in specialized boxes that alternate between cycles of hot and cold air over 12-hour intervals. This meticulous approach lets the cherries slowly dehydrate in contact with one another, giving rise to the fruity, wine-like notes that truly distinguish this coffee.

Roast

With over four decades of expertise in green-bean selection, roasting and cupping, our TAG Roast (Torrefazione Artigianale Granito) is crafted to bring out the fullest potential of each single-origin coffee. Through a meticulous process, we achieve the complete caramelization of the beans' sugars, unlocking their rich, complex flavours – the balance of expertise, passion, intuition and the keen insight of our Master Roaster.

Brewing

At its best as a filter or drip coffee at 8 g per 8.5 oz; it also pulls as an espresso at 8 g per 1 oz. Available in multiple grinds to suit your brewing method. Learn about our available roast options.
