Éthiopie Anderacha Honey Grade 1

Éthiopie Anderacha ranks among the finest Arabica coffees grown in Ethiopia, a refined single-origin cup shaped by the highlands of the Sheka Forest. Our TAG roast draws out delicate notes of hibiscus and ripe cherry, layered with peach nectar, warm cinnamon and a sweet, molasses-like depth. Freshly roasted on demand in our Montréal facility.

Tasting Notes

Bright and aromatic, the cup opens with hibiscus and ripe cherry, followed by peach nectar and a warm thread of cinnamon. Beneath runs a sweet, molasses-like sweetness reminiscent of black Cavendish, giving this honey-processed Ethiopian its distinctive, layered finish.

Origin

Grown between 1,700 and 2,000 metres in the Sheka Forest – a UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve – Anderacha is cultivated under the shade of native Wanza, Albizzia, Acacia and Ficus trees. The estate spans 276 hectares, with 237 in coffee plantation and 39 kept under forest as a buffer zone for waterways, preserving local ecology and biodiversity. It is a responsible harvest in every sense: washing-station effluents are recycled, while coffee pulp becomes compost and parchment fuels the dryers.

Roast

With over four decades of expertise in green-bean selection, roasting and cupping, our TAG Roast (Torrefazione Artigianale Granito) is crafted to bring out the fullest potential of each single-origin coffee. Through a meticulous process, we achieve the complete caramelization of the beans' sugars, unlocking their rich, complex flavours – the balance of expertise, passion, intuition and the keen insight of our Master Roaster.

Brewing

Enjoy it as a filter coffee at 8 g per 8.5 oz, or pull it as an espresso at 8 g per 1 oz. Available in multiple grinds to suit your brewing method. Learn about our available roast options.
