ARIEL Christmas Tea

There's a particular comfort to a Christmas tea: the cup that marks the season, that you reach for by the tree or hand to someone you love. Ours is a warm, full-bodied black tea blend, scented and flecked with petals, that our customers come back for every winter. It's made for cozy evenings and quiet mornings through the holidays, and it makes an easy, welcome gift. We blend it once a year, so it's here for the season and then it's gone.

Tasting Notes

The base is a rich, full-bodied black tea, bright and bold enough to carry the blend. Soft floral notes of chamomile round it out, and cornflower petals give the loose leaf its festive, speckled look. It's warming and aromatic, lovely on its own and made for the season; a splash of milk turns it into something richer still for a cold evening.

A Festive Blend

This is a seasonal house blend rather than a single-origin tea. It's built on premium Ceylon and Chinese black teas for body and depth, then finished with chamomile and cornflower petals for aroma and the look of the holidays in the cup. The exact recipe is ours, and it returns each year as a Terra Christmas tradition.

Brewing

Use 2.5 g of tea per cup, water at 90 °C, and steep for 3 minutes. Enjoy it as it is, or add a splash of milk for a warmer, more indulgent cup.
