Jamaica High Mountain is grown high in the mountains of central Jamaica, where a distinctive microclimate and rich soils produce a remarkably smooth yet full-bodied cup. Our TAG roast brings out its clean, aromatic character and a fruity, nutty finish. Freshly roasted on demand in our Montréal facility.

Tasting Notes

Smooth and full-bodied at once, the cup is clean and aromatic, opening with a gentle fragrance and finishing on a fruity, nutty note. It's an elegant, balanced Jamaican coffee with real depth and refinement.

Origin

Jamaica High Mountain comes from Baronhall Estate, lovingly grown and processed at around 600 metres (2,000 feet) above sea level in St Ann, Jamaica. At roughly 300 acres, it's the largest coffee plantation on the island, owned and operated by the Minott family, who bring over 75 years of experience to the craft. The estate plants the same seedlings as the world-famous Blue Mountain coffee, but sits in a different mountain range in the centre of the island – where slightly different soil and climate combine to produce an exquisite estate-grown Jamaican coffee.

Roast

With over four decades of expertise in green-bean selection, roasting and cupping, our TAG Roast (Torrefazione Artigianale Granito) is crafted to bring out the fullest potential of each single-origin coffee. Through a meticulous process, we achieve the complete caramelization of the beans' sugars, unlocking their rich, complex flavours – the balance of expertise, passion, intuition and the keen insight of our Master Roaster.

Brewing

Enjoy it as a filter coffee at 8 g per 8.5 oz, or pull it as an espresso at 8 g per 1 oz – it shines either way. Available in multiple grinds to suit your brewing method. Learn about our available roast options.
