Rancilio Stile SD

The Rancilio Stile SD is a compact, semi-automatic coffee grinder for espresso and other brew methods at home. It suits a home barista who prefers a simple, hands-on routine: there's no display to navigate, and grinding starts when you press the portafilter button. A built-in chalkboard gives you a place to note your favourite recipes.

Compatibility

The Stile SD belongs to Rancilio's Home Line, alongside our Rancilio Silvia and Silvia Pro X espresso machines. It handles preparations from espresso to French press, and you set the grind by hand with its manual adjustment knob. The standard hopper holds 0.3 kg of beans, and Rancilio also offers an optional 0.5 kg hopper.

Build Quality

Flat 58 mm steel burrs with a Thermosteel treatment do the grinding, at a rate of 1.5 g per second. A locking slide on the hopper supports easy refilling. At 13.2 cm wide and 5.5 kg, the grinder keeps a small footprint on the counter.

Maintenance

With no display to signal burr wear, follow Rancilio's guidance on when to replace the burrs. Between sessions, the coffee brush in our Rancilio Barista Kit clears ground coffee from the grinder.
