Espresso Vigoroso

Espresso Vigoroso is a bold, invigorating espresso blend for anyone who wants their espresso rich, complex, and full of energy. Freshly roasted on demand in our Montréal facility, this Robusta-forward blend pours a silky, tiger-striped crema over deep notes of dark chocolate and oak. Caffeine-rich and full-bodied, it is an espresso with real drive – built to wake up the senses.

Tasting Notes

Vigoroso sits high on the intensity scale, prized for power and complexity in equal measure. Dark chocolate leads, with a distinctive note of oak over a deep, full body beneath a silky, tiger-striped crema. It is bold and invigorating, holding its own as a short shot and standing up confidently to milk.

Origin

This is a blend of 65% Robusta and 35% Arabica, with beans drawn from South America and Indonesia. The generous share of Robusta builds the body, the caffeine, and that signature crema, while the Arabica adds complexity and rounds out the cup. Sourcing across two regions gives Vigoroso its bold, consistent character from bag to bag.

Roast

Espresso Vigoroso is finished at a medium roast, developed to build body and caramelise the beans' natural sugars for a fuller, rounder cup. As a blend, it carries our Medium Roast designation rather than a single-origin roast profile, letting the Robusta's strength and the Arabica's complexity come together in a smooth, drinkable espresso.

Brewing

For espresso, use about 1 tbsp (8 g) of coffee per 1 oz (30 ml) of fresh water. For filter or drip coffee, use 1 tbsp (8 g) per 8.5 oz (250 ml) of fresh water.
