Espresso Virtuoso

Espresso Virtuoso is a complex, well-balanced espresso blend for anyone who wants range in a single cup. Freshly roasted on demand in our Montréal facility, it pours a rich, dark crema and opens with warm hazelnut and a lift of spice. It has the presence to shine on its own and the depth to carry through milk, staying expressive in a latte or cappuccino.

Tasting Notes

Virtuoso lives up to its name with a layered, harmonious profile that reveals a little more with each sip. Toasted hazelnut leads, threaded with warm baking spice over a smooth, rounded body beneath a thick crema. It stays balanced and composed – rich enough to stand out in milk, refined enough to enjoy as a straight shot.

Origin

This is a blend of Arabica and Robusta beans sourced from growers across Central America, Asia, and Africa. The Arabica brings aroma, sweetness, and complexity, while a measured share of Robusta adds body and the deep, lasting crema Virtuoso is known for. Drawing on three regions is what gives the cup its range and its steady, repeatable character.

Roast

Espresso Virtuoso is finished at a medium roast, developed to build body and caramelise the beans' natural sugars into a rounder, sweeter cup. As a blend, it carries our Medium Roast designation rather than a single-origin roast profile, keeping the hazelnut and spice in balance while giving the espresso its smooth, full character.

Brewing

For espresso, use about 1 tbsp (8 g) of coffee per 1 oz of fresh water. For filter or drip coffee, use 1 tbsp (8 g) per 8.5 oz of fresh water.
